Cut Scenes

  • The 1965 broadcast version featured a new song ("Fame in Fortune") in place of "We're a Couple of Misfits" and Yukon Cornelius discovering the Peppermint Mine was removed to make room for a new ending where Santa stops at the Island of Misfit Toys (which was made due to complaints from children that Santa didn't keep his promise and nothing was done to rescue the toys). The 1965 ending still airs on TV to this very day.

Trivia

  • Adapted from the story by Robert L. May and the song by Johnny Marks.
