I enjoy this education short that I saw only once the early years of the Disney Channel (1983 or 1984). The short gets its anti-littering message across well with some entertaining scenes involving littering. The contents are even more appropriate today. I don't understand why the Disney Channel hasn't shown this short since - as far as I know. I especially enjoy the forest animals joining in a "Litterbug, Litterbug, shame on you ..." song chorus about the litterbug spoiling their countryside.

I often think of this song when I see how thoughtless people can be in public. I wish this short could be shown to the current generation.

This is my favorite of the Donald Duck educational shorts. In my opinion, It is much like "Donald and the Wheel", as that one also mixes live-action/animation. This short conveys its message perfectly, and would certainly do a good job of scaring the current-generation into not littering! The opening credits even show real-life footage of messes left by litterbugs (It would be possible to leave the rest of the cartoon and just play that to give the message.) The best thing about this short is its song (who agrees?) The song scolds litterbugs so much, you would simply have to just sing it to them and they would be scared! Anyone who has watched thi! s cartoon will want to know the lyrics to this song, right? Well, I have watched this short enough times to memorize the lyrics and post them here. "Litterbug, Litterbug, shame on you!" "Look at the terrible things you do!" "Littering, cluttering every place." "My, but it's disgraceful!" "Litterbug, Litterbug, where's your pride?" "Making a mess of the countryside." "Soiling, and spoiling each lovely view." "Shame, oh shame on you!" "It really makes one wonder what kind of house you keep." "On every tour, the world is your personal garbage heap." "Uncautious litterbug, litterbug, don't you care?" "People must follow you everywhere." "Cleaning up places that you've gone through." "Litterbug, oh shame on you!"

What a great way to end off Donald's classic cartoon career a lesson on littering. This is a generally entertaining short with the title song sung at the beginning and end (written by Mel Levin). This is a wonderful cartoon with a valuable lesson on littering and all the litterbugs out there will learn a thing or two.
