Although I am not really a Chip and Dale fan, I find this to be an extremely funny short. Chip and Dale are looking for nuts on a farm and Dale goes into the hen house. He sees eggs and thinks they're nuts. When a chick pops out of the egg, Dale tries to put him back in, but then Dale decides he'll go into the egg. The mother hen comes in and sits on the eggs, causing Dale to sweat.

This time instead of harassing Donald or Pluto the chipmunks are on a farm (that's similar to the farm from
Farmyard Symphony
) collecting nuts. Anyway great short. I first saw it on a video titled (appropriately enough) "A Tale Of Two Chipmunks "at my grandparents house.

A very funny Chip and Dale short that involves with chickens instead of battling with Donald, Pluto or Mickey. It has lots of humor inside that will really make you laugh. I recommend this short and Dale next time, please stay out of the chicken house.

I think it's funny when the chicken thinks Dale is her chick.

Some of the footage used in this short was used from the 1938 Silly Symphony
Farmyard Symphony
. I only know of 2 shorts in Chip 'n' Dale's own classic cartoon series; this one and Two Chips and a Miss. (Which are both in volume 4 of Disney's Classic Cartoon Favorites collection on DVD) When my daddy saw this short, he told me roosters don't have teeth! (After the rooster figures out Dale was faking eating a caterpillar!) After the rooster tries to squash Dale in the egg he hid in, the mother hen clucks at him angrily! Did anyone notice that the scenery moved a little and the rooster stayed in place in that scene? In the end, Chip couldn't help but mock his buddy and laugh his head off! This was one hilarious short if you ask me! My daddy's a big fan of Chip 'n' Dale even though lots of folks put them down, and I don't know why!
