Several of the shorts in this volume are riddled with unchecked DVNR mistakes, meaning character outlines or patches of color will get washed out. Many of the films also use title recreations with artificial fades added in Premiere. According to historian Thad Komorowski, there's a possible chance these were rejected restorations done by the HBO Max team and none of the Warner Archive staff participated in this due to COVID-19 layoffs. While the colors are pretty well cleaned up, it's safer to hold off on purchasing this set.

Jerry Beck's comments (see the Tex Avery Vol. 2 thread on this forum) confirm that the cartoons on the set were indeed restorations by the HBO Max team. (Mr. Beck's planned Volume 2 was shelved, and it was decided to make a new V2 using the Max restorations.)
