Cut Scenes

  • Both the Fox/Fox Family and CBS broadcasts have their own selection of cuts to accommodate the half-hour runtime with commercials, as the special has an uninterrupted (PAL) runtime of 29 minutes, as is common with most UK television shows and specials that have a runtime of 30 minutes or more. Some cuts are similar to both broadcasts while some differ. In addition, the Fox/Fox Family broadcasts were time compressed while the CBS broadcast features a US dub featuring the voices of Ben Stiller, Britney Spears, Hugh Grant, Brad Garrett, Jim Belushi, Jerry Stiller, Leah Remini, James Woods, among others.

Inside Jokes

  • Although his name is never said fully, it is implied that Robbie is the son of Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer. As a result of copyright and trademark restrictions of Rudolph's name by Goodtimes Entertainment (at the time), Blitzen stopping others from saying his name became a running gag throughout the special.
