Warner Bros submitted this cartoon to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for consideration of a nomination for Best Animated Short; unfortunately, the short didn't even get nominated.
According to historian Thad Komorowski, this is one of the only films in which Maurice Noble did both layouts and background paintings.
