Trivia
- Whereas the previous films were live-action, this is the first animated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film (CGI or otherwise).
- According to James Arnold Taylor (who voices Leonardo in the movie), several of the characters were already recorded with established voice actors. It wasn't until The Weinstein Company became involved that these characters would be revoiced by celebrities including Sarah Michelle Gellar, Chris Evans, and Patrick Stewart.
- The last animated work of Mako Iwamatsu (who ironically was announced as the voice of Splinter at San Diego Comic Con 2006 before he died the next day). He finished the majority of the work before his passing at which point Greg Baldwin came in to finish recording a substantial portion of Splinter's dialogue. Greg Baldwin would later go on to voice Mako's characters Iroh and Aku in the final seasons of Avatar: The Last Airbender and Samurai Jack respectively.
