From Ben Schumin :

Believe it or not, Blue Bayou was not designed for Make Mine Music. It was originally made for Fantasia, around the "Claire De Lune" musical piece. It was completely finished, however, it was cut for time reasons, and the animations ended up being used with Blue Bayou.

From Imaginarylady :

I loved this short very much. The song was so beautiful and fit the short very well. I loved the scenes and images of the blue trees and blue shiny waters of the bayou. And I loved the dark blue sky of the night and the twinkling stars. I loved the scene of the white stork flying and settling down in another part of the bayou. I saw why the bayou was called Blue Bayou because of the color the Bayou is each night. Such a beautiful, glamorous, lovely, and enjoyable short I will never forget, and wish to watch more and more.

From Baruch Weiss :

I have this cartoon on "Make Mine Music' so I'm going to speak for the entire movie as well as this short. This is a great musical cartoon that is so cheerful and relaxing, the other cartoons in the movie are beautiful as well.
