Trivia

  • Returns of this special have the audio of the kids' insults toward Charlie Brown baskmasked following complaints that his treatment was undeserved.
  • The first on-screen appearance (animation or otherwise) of The Little Red-Haired Girl, whose name is also revealed to be Heather.
  • Creator Charles Schulz was not involved in deciding how The Little Red-Haired Girl would look or what her name should be and her design was done by the animators without his input. Charles opposed any depiction of The Little Red Headed Girl because he felt any visual images of her couldn't live up to anyone's expectations, including his own.
