Synopsis
Through the combined talents of conductor Leopold Stokowski, the Philadelphia Orchestra, and the artists of the Walt Disney Studio, eight pieces of classical music are brought to life with animation and imagination.

This was the first film released in stereophonic sound, courtesy of a specially-made sound system called Fantasound.
Trivia
For the film's 1982 reissue, the soundtrack was re-recorded in digital stereo by Irwin Kostal. The original Stokowski soundtrack was restored for the 1990 reissue.
