  • It's revealed that Principal Seymour Skinner's real name is Armin Tanzarian.
  • Despite fan controversy, Bill Oakley and Josh Weinstein's team were very proud of the work they did on this episode. Writer Ken Keeler felt it was one of his best written episodes of television ever. However, Keeler's original draft included more lines about how the Springfield residents hate change. Keeler wishes these lines remained in the episode.
