From David Willis :

Donald Duck goes fishing and catches a load of fish. At another part of the lake Louie the Mountain lion and a smaller lion I'm guessing is Louie's son are also trying catch fish. When Louie's son catches a massive fish (he really steals it from Donald) he is really proud (Louie has only managed to catch a tiny one). When Louie realizes Donald has so many they try different ways in which to get hold of them which results in Donald shooting Louie in the ass ( a lot of times) and the little lion plucking them out ( in the same way cartoon characters have cactus spines pulled out). Again the scenes you mention as being cut have not been in the version I have seen (only a couple of weeks ago) so they may have been reinstated or it may just be a difference between British and American restrictions.

From Ross :

This is my second favorite cartoon short on The Chronological Donald Volume 3 set. The gags are quite funny, as Louie the mountain lion and his son, a little mountain lion cub, try to steal the fish from Donald that he's cooking on the stove. My favorite scenes are the running gag when Louie gets shot in the butt, and his son has to pull them out like cactus spines, and the scene when Louie is about to jump into the room, but Donald points his rifle at him, and Louie turns into one of the mounted lions on the wall. This is a great Donald Duck cartoon that was directed by Jack Hannah in 1950. I love it a lot.

From Baruch Weiss :

To start out, the title for this cartoon is very punny! One part I enjoy in this short is where Louie (who co stars with his son for the first and only time) is depicted as taxidermy.
