Trivia

  • Based off the manga series of the same name by Hayao Miyazaki.
  • While created prior to the formation of Studio Ghibli, this film is often considered a Ghibli film due to having many of the artistic talents who would go there.
  • When Nausicaä was released in North America in 1985, the film was retitled to "Warriors of the Wind". The film was cut to 95 minutes, characters were renamed, and the overall movie was modified to be more like a standard 80s kids cartoon (both in story and marketing).
