I wouldn't be surprised (and wouldn't mind) if a set/ series of the Bosko shorts might be in the plans.

The problems with continuing T&J on Blu-ray has to do with the two specific cartoons that Warner doesn't want to release, not with sales. (Also, he says that the cartoons on the new Popeye disc are "reportedly" sourced from 4K scans, while it's been documented beyond any doubt that they really are sourced from 4K scans.)

Looney Tunes might be a different matter, depending on which cartoons/characters Warner Archive uses.

Also of note, Warner Bros. and Turner Entertainment need permission from King Features Syndicate for these Popeye releases, they don't have 100% authority over what is released. With Tom and Jerry and the Looney Tunes, Warner and Turner have 100% control over what is relased.

Yeah, and ironically, that's what is keeping more uncensored Tom and Jerry releases from coming out (as Jerry has also explained). Since Warner doesn't own the character of Popeye (only the theatrical cartoons), they are less protective of his image than they are with Tom and Jerry and Looney Tunes.

Hasn't cover artist Stephen Destefano already teased the motive he's working on for Volume 2? That is at least my impressions from earlier comments in this thread, although I haven't as of yet applied for membership in his Popeye Facebook group (so I can't see what he's posted there).

Slated for June (as Toonatic already mentioned here).

The show is on the Stu's Show website. You have to pay to watch, though.

Worth mentioning: Warner Archive is reissuing the first DVD volume of the black-and-white shorts (1933-1938) in May. It went out of print really suddenly, and prices skyrocketed almost overnight, so this is very welcome.

Still waiting for The 1940's, Volume 2. It looks like Jerry was right about it releasing closer to June.

Um, has there been any indication previously that he wasn't right? I don't think anything else has been said about the release date.

House Tricks (3-15-1946)
Service With A Guile (4-19-1946)
Klondike Casanova (5-31-1946)
Peep In The Deep (6-7-1946) CINECOLOR
Rocket To Mars (8-9-1946) CINECOLOR
Rodeo Romeo (8-16-1946)
The Fistic Mystic (11-29-1946)
The Island Fling (12-27-1946)
Abusement Park (4-25-1947) CINECOLOR
I'll Be Skiing Ya (6-13-1947)
Popeye and the Pirates (9-12-1947)
Royal Four Flusher (9-12-1947)
Wotta Knight (10-24-1947)
Safari So Good (11-7-1947)
All's Fair At The Fair (12-19-1947) CINECOLOR

The above assumes following the same pattern as volume one did. This would be 15 cartoons on this disk. I'm only guessing these will be on it. We'll finally get to see some good colors on the Cinecolor ones.

Well, from what has been announced so far, it looks like I was spot on about the titles which will be on volume two.
