Oh man, I wish I could have caught up on all of these (especially for the website) but times are tight and I just couldn't afford them all!

A little hint as to what is one 'Fleischer Rarities'.. editing all the individual films finished the weekend, menus got finished, and a good amount of the extra features got pretty close to being done... (screen shot from my computer hard drives...)

23,426 unread emails, eh? That explains a lot.

They really are *read*.. my server company resent a whole bunch of old emails, so there's a bunch unopened next to the opened ones further back in the history! I do get a ton of emails every day, and try to get back to people, but clearly mess up sometimes!

Hi, all! I just got my copy of Cartoons To The Rescue. It is so cool to see a color Fleischer Popeye in HD!
I've been experiencing some playback issues with this BR disc, like pausing and digital noise blocks when played through my BR player. I inspected the BR disc but see no obvious signs of scratches or dirt. For good measure, I rinsed the disc and gently wiped it dry (I've had good luck with this method), but it didn't improve the issues.
I tried to watch it on the computer with VLC, and it had the same issues but even worse. The PC drive was having a terrible time reading from this disc.
I was wondering if anyone else had playback problems with this disc? I'd hate to bother Steve and ask for a replacement if it is just a one-time fluke, but maybe if others have gotten bad burns of this title, there might be a bigger problem that needs to be addressed, such as type of disc he is using or maybe his burner is on the fritz.
Thanks all for your time...

I've had similar issues in the past with Steve's BD-R discs. Sometimes the discs work fine, other times my Blu-ray players/drives have a really hard time reading them. My Thunderbean Thursday 2015 disc was completely blank (I ended up burning something else onto it). The bonus disc that came with Fleischer Rarities was completely unreadable by all of my drives. Steve promised to send me a replacement disc a few weeks ago, but so far I have received nothing.

Thanks for your reply. I truly hope you receive your replacement soon!
I understand your frustration, as it seems like all of our transactions with Thunderbean (outside of Amazon) are based on good faith that we pay reasonable money for a quality product. When that expectation isn't met, less than good feelings start to brew (or is that the enchilada I had for lunch?).
On the other hand, I think a majority of us here understand the pressures he may be under at the moment with all the projects he has going on. No one wants to lose their cool, and I think we all respect him so much for what he does.
As far as BD-R disc authoring is concerned, I'm not sure if TB is a one-man show, but perhaps there needs to be a higher level of QC involved before the disc get sealed in an envelope. Just a quick verification of the disc is all that is needed. I know Toast (MacOS) has the option to verify the disc after burning. Perhaps there is a similar option on whatever software he is using.
