Just recently, I picked up a copy of Thunderbean's DVD set, The Golden Age of Cartoons: Cartoons for Victory!, mainly because I wanted a decent copy of the public domain Bugs Bunny classic, Any Bonds Today?. The disc came in the mail, just a few days ago. While Thunderbean's restoration of some of the cartoons on this set aren't exactly on the level of lavishness of Warner's Looney Tunes Golden Collection or Disney's Walt Disney Treasures, it's nice to finally have a copy of the aforementioned Bugs cartoon, as well as several Mr. Hook shorts, that doesn't look faded beyond watchability.

These last couple of weeks, I've been on a spending spree, buying more DVD sets on Amazon. The DVDs I have added to my collection are as follows:
Tex Avery's Droopy: The Complete Theatrical Collection (Warner Archive re-release)
Max Fleischer's Superman: 1941-1942
Popeye the Sailor:
The 1940s, Volume 1
(DVD version)
I Love Tweety, Vol.
1

Noveltoons: Original Classics
UPA -
The Jolly Frolics Collection
.

Regarding the UPA set, if someone on these forums who is savvy with DVD-ripping could assist me with an obstacle I've run into, please feel free to contact me privately.
