Remember that nearly a year ago, I posted (in the "General Discussion" sub-forum) about newer cartoons owned by WB like the Smurfs (the original hand-drawn series), The Sylvester & Tweety Mysteries and the infamous Baby Looney Tunes airing on the Discovery Family Channel? This weekend I discovered that the Discovery Family Channel's weekday lineup of cartoons includes two half hour blocks of "Merrie Melodies" buried amongst blocks of the Smurfs (the original hand-drawn series), My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, Transformers Rescue Bots, Pound Puppies (the 21st century series), Littlest Pet Shop, Steven Universe, and cartoons I've never heard of. (Though no more Baby Looney Tunes.) I wonder when this happened? (Though when I watch classic WB cartoons on my cable TV's "on demand" channel, a Discovery Family On Demand screen precedes each cartoon, and there's a Discovery Family logo in the bottom right corner during the cartoon.) Strangely, my cable TV box's guide lists only two cartoons in each block. Of course I discovered this just as another hurricane is approaching Florida, which means being forced to stay at my sister's house without cable TV and not being able to use my mom's Chromebook. I'll list what I can until then.

EDIT: I deleted the blocks of Looney Tunes in this post because they've been replaced with "correct" ones (three cartoons per half hour block instead of two) farther down in this thread.

Starting tomorrow ({November 25th), the Discovery Family Channel's weekday schedule gets an overhaul. Unfortunately, that includes cutting back from two half-hour blocks of Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies to only one. I don't know if this is permanent, or just while kids are out of school for the week of Thanksgiving. (And when did this happen? When I was in school (1973 to 1985), we only got Thanksgiving Day and the day after Thanksgiving off.)

Jabberjaw airs at 9:30 AM.
Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies airs at 10:00 AM.
The Sylvester & Tweety Mysteries airs at 10:30 AM
The Smurfs (the hand-drawn original series) airs at 11:00 AM.
