I pulled the 'Sam Bassett- Hound for Hire' cartoons out of the film room here, opened them all up and inspected the prints. They're all in good shape (well, as good as they were when I got them anyway-- no vinegar syndrome or any issues). They were made in the early 60s and are really funny. Animated by Zabreb Animation. Voices were done in the UK and France, but its a US production (I always thought they were from Australia but they're not). I've got 11, and it appears 13 were made all together (one is about a magician but not sure what the other is...) We put out a DVD some years back. They're sort of bizzaro Rocky and Bullwinkle...
I'm going on a T-Shirt adventure this morning to the local printers to get pricing info and that sort of thing. We're thinking of starting with 3 designs in a limited run. We'll do a pre-order for most likely a week and then take whatever the amount each is there and that will be the run.
The dog days of summer are almost upon us-- so the 'hound for hire' lives again! I've send Sam Bassett's adventures off to scan today and we're putting out a 'semi-official' set this month... up for pre-order now at the Thunderbean Shop:

Cupid gets his man is about to be in the can after tweaking a little more. We've turned the corner on the project and chugging along...

We also spent some time with Elmo's T-Shirts today in Ann Arbor, and are offering the first two limited edition Ts! We'll have them up until July 15 and they'll be sent soon after. Pick Private Snafu or Tom and Jerry! We'll be doing a Toby the Pup one at some point as well
