Hi everyone. While I'm not a fan of this series at all, this title, a survivor, evident by a tape transfer that seems to of gotten around (see images below of the film) suggests that his early entry in the Alice Comedies has circulated between people. Would anyone be able to share it?
I'm curious because according to some documentation, I believe in "The Silent Films of Walt Disney" that the first two produced (this title and ALICE'S DAY AT SEA) were re-released a year later with revised animation to improve the quality. When watching DAY AT SEA from the EYE 35mm, there are scenes towards the end that make it evident we are watching the second copy, being too advanced for Walt to do himself (he supposedly animated DAY AT SEA entirely himself, and I believe this, seeing as Iwerks and Ham Hamilton had not yet been hired). For HUNTING IN AFRICA, some live action was removed, and animation was revised. Has anybody seen it or has the transfer to indicate which version we are seeing?
