Well... since the year is coming to an end, is anyone willing to reveal the amount of cartoons that aired on MeTV this year on the 30th tomorrow? A response will be much appreciated, as a bunch of LT, Columbia, and "Popeye" shorts aired/made debuts that didn't air last year ago.

There were five cartoons on the show: "The Wabbit Who Came to Supper", "Holiday Highlights", "More Pep", "Pink Pajamas", and "Rushing Roulette".

As mentioned in a previous post, please just go to the "Me TV" schedule to see what shorts were airing this month instead of asking what aired that day (as I already learned here).

Roxen Trail, as nickramer mentioned, please refer to the first post I made at the start of this thread:

Oh, I see; makes sense! I was only asking this question because S.C MacPeter made a brief "recap" (if I can say that) of shorts that aired on MeTV on a previous form regarding this subject last year, so I thought it'd be fine to ask what aired this year on MeTV as well. Oh well then, it's fine!

Well a database is different, and I don't think a summary should hurt everything. From Jon Cooke on the TIWM FB group, the total is now at 1,492(!) cartoons!

Here is the breakdown:
1 Fleischer - Miscellaneous (Rudolph)
1 Walter Lantz
2 Fleischer Color Classics
2 Fleischer Superman
41 Fleischer Betty Boop
56 Columbia/Screen Gems
113 DFE (62 Pink Panther, 34 Inspector, 17 Rattfink)
211 Popeye (103 Famous, 105 Fleischer, 3 KFS)
280 MGM
785 WB

Nice!

Brief question out of pure curiosity: Does this count the SNC ("Sunday Night Cartoons") block debut airings from MeTV+? If not, then unfortunately, I cannot really count this list as "official" in my POV ("The Cat Came Back" and "Cats and Bruises" are prime examples of shorts having aired on SNC, but not the main block as of typing this reply), but it's better than nothing.

Jerry Beck let Cartoon Network borrow his personal 16mm print of "Popeye, the Ace of Space" with original titles for "The Popeye Show". That's probably why MeTV aired an aap print of it.

Turner does have a beautiful print of "Alpine For You" with original titles that has aired on WTBS, TNT and Cartoon Network. But I don't think it has aired on MeTV. (I don't watch Toon In With Me regularly, only Saturday Morning Cartoons.)

Popeye, Olive and Bluto are the only humans in "The Royal Four Flusher". All of the other supporting characters are (non-talking) animals, mostly zoo animals.

The only scene in "Service With A Guile" that might be problematic is the one toward the end with the Admiral covered head-to-toe with soot. (But the Admiral doesn't say something like "Mammy!" or "Now I can work for Mr. Benny!".)

Meanwhile, "Puppet Love" was replaced with "The Mighty Navy" today.

Fred Grandinetti has said that years ago some TV prints of "Puppet Love" were edited to remove Bluto holding a knife to Olive's neck. (But much more violent content has aired on Saturday Morning Cartoons.)

This hasn't been mentioned but when "Three Little Pups" aired recently a month or so ago, the aftermath after the wolf get blasted with the giant dynamite was edited out. Plus, it may be just me, but I think the short might've also been time-compressed.

This morning's "Bugs Bunny and Friends" started with "The Grey Hounded Hare". I must have only seen this as part of the Bugs Bunny Valentine's Day special prior to today. I didn't know that the "Now I've seen everything!" gag is in it. (Though it happens offscreen.) This must have been the final time that this was in a cartoon.

Just gonna revive this thread (sorry!) to post some upcoming news: "Country Mouse" airs tomorrow. Willing to bet 100% that it is unrestored (I'll edit this post of mine once it airs and whether or not it was restored or unrestored).
