Winston Sharples is one of my personal favorite animation composers, right up with Stalling and Bradley. I think it helps that I've heard his deliciously infectious melodies for Van Beuren and Famous Studios in so much TV prints of old silents and 60s TV fare from the East Coast. There are a few of his cues I particularly really like and I'm personally wondering which cartoons they were originally written for. I've particularly been checking Rainbow Parade and Toddle Tale shorts like crazy just to see if I can find any familiar Sharples tracks. The Famous Studios ones in particular I'd look for myself, but I'm not gonna subject myself to watching a whole lotta Caspers just to find one measly track. The first two are compositions written for Van Beuren during their Rainbow Parade years, the rest are 50s Paramount/Famous Studios.

I don't know where the Stuffy post-credit cue came from,though.

I also enjoy the Sharples cues,too. That Penelope the Elephant episode had a lot of Herman and Katnip cues in the second half, from "OWLY TO BED" and "FELINEOUS ASSAULT"..the cue at 2:15 in that Popeye one also reappears in second part of the Felix short, where the Scots worm frees Felix.

Mannduke, that's is one that's been puzzling me as well. I'm starting to wonder if it's even something written for a specific cartoon, given it's almost four minutes long, longer than most Sharples cues composed for VB.
