I'm thinking it could be the censored 11?

It sounds like he's talking about a TV show. Perhaps a Hanna-Barbera, Filmation... Any non-theatrical series for which there is one version for syndication and one archived, never-broadcasted version...
I always come to TTTP in Exile in the hope of finding news about Warner announcing Tex Avery Collection.

Go comprehensive and chronological or go home.

I'd love to believe that's why those 12 were being restored. And then they can throw us a 40-disc BD release like scraps. [-o<

I don’t think that we were supposed to be this confused on what release is coming. How about one of us emails Jerry and asks him to clarify what he means when he says that this release doesn’t use the television versions?

Popeye and Tom & Jerry are one thing because there's a reasonable number of shorts, but there are far too many Looney Tunes to meet WB's expectations by doing volumes. I don't think trying different configurations can get around that. And the lack of new collector releases of any kind suggests they don't have a better solution either.

And they need this stuff in HD so it's going to happen eventually. They should just do it and be done with it.

By the way, the e-mails will stay in the show based on viewer/listener feedback. So the next show when he comes back on March 18, we'll hear from the listeners and viewers once again.

I do love how we're not allowed to know what this exciting new WAC release is... Less than two months before it hits.

For all the hype, it had better be the best goddamn clasdic cartoon release EVER.

A new Facebook comment by Jerry Beck  teases the set again: "We have something special coming out next month (shhhhh)...".

I kind of agree with what others here are saying: it is a bit odd that we can't know what this set will contain when it's only a month until it comes out.

Again, it better be fucking jaw dropping. I mean the most amazing announcement ever.

If it is a single disc of random cartoons or a Hanna Barbera show, I'm out.

It would be cool if they did, though!

It's a little surprising he thought unrestored cartoons through WAC would be acceptable to enough of the base, especially without casual fans to help balance the sales, but again maybe that's part of the politics he had to deal with.

My personal thing is making complete public access to all the classic cartoons still locked in studio vaults. All the studios. This is what I’ve spent half my life doing.

This is wonderful and I truly want it to happen, especially for Looney Tunes, but let's face it. The other half of Jerry's life will be over before he gets them completed in volumes.

Some members are doing that—thank you, whomever came across that 35mm print of Casanova Cat with its original titles and took it upon themselves to actually scan and restore it—but we’re obviously gonna need to do more than that if we expect to be satisfied.

But as for single random disc that's of course big no, unless its censored 11 or they have ensured every single cartoon is not the previous release.
But if they do them chronology they will end up with bunch of previously released ones then it better be at least 5 disc set.
