Gradually revisiting these. Even most of the 16mm sourced films are looking good and clean for the most part. Sound quality overall is excellent.
Unlike a lot of B&W Van Beuren Aesop Fables and other cartoons, these are not just historical curiosities. They are in fact overall competently made and entertaining cartoons in their own right and deserve to be preserved. And those Harmon-Ising entries are really just lost Bosko cartoons. They are dead ringers for early WB cartoons, even recycling some animation. But the standard Van Beuren entries are good too. I liked Cubby's Picnic, do I detect some parody of Flowers and Trees?
