I decided to revive the discussion on the new Mickey Mouse shorts on these new forums. The original discussion can be found here:

The most recent short, "Clogged" can now be seen on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YFCluYEf7oI

It's a fun short. I liked what they did with Minnie Mouse. Also, the short doesn't include a lot of violent or gross humor. [minnie]

Try looking for the short on your country's equivalent to a Disney YouTube channel or Disney website.

Here's an alternate link on Disney's website: http://video.disney.com/watch/disneychannel-clogged-509d60a7d12e30a1b80b5386

A thing I can recommend is a Chrome extension called Hola Better Internet. Just set it to the U.S. and it *should* work (I can't guarantee it, it's a hit or miss).

The newest short, Goofy's First Love, is now on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xkbw0kvtYt4

Disclaimer: This video may not be viewable for those who live outside of the United States.

This short was funny, but some of it was a bit weird. (For example, why would Goofy be wearing make-up in order to impress a girl?) However, I did like the appearance of [scrooge].

Patterns of "Disney Mickey Mouse"
- Episodes that need subtitles because people don't speak french, Portuguese, etc.
- Episodes that's primarily a chain of cockblocks for Mickey
- Episodes with scenes that are Rule 34 fodder let alone kid friendly
- Episodes which is Schadenfreude towards Donald, Goofy or Mickey

(based on experience from "Disney Mickey Mouse: Season 1" DVD)

I think the characters speaking foreign languages is supposed to add to the atmosphere of the short's specific setting. The creators are most likely treating these cartoons as "silent" cartoons to those who don't understand that certain language.

As for the other shorts, they're definitely going for less of the Disney humor and more for Looney Tunes and Tex Avery humor. The style of writing is similar to SpongeBob's.

That's what I want to use in the animation industry, use Looney Tunes and Tex Avery humor for animated TV shows. Since I'm a Tex Avery fan (mainly his works at MGM).

Similar writing from SpongeBob? Maybe it's similar writing to the first 3 seasons.

That's what I meant. Aaron Springer, former SpongeBob writer, is part of the crew for the new Mickey Mouse cartoons.
