Of course, such nuance is lost on Su Shostack the blowhard who temporarily forgot what DVNR was.

However, those who defended the set framed it as if the use of old video masters was the only issue and any detractors were written off as unsatisfiable perfectionists. To me, that was missing the forest for the trees.

However, the fact that there was a similar problem on a private, fan-based venue does not absolve Warner Home Video/Warner Archive of their (in my opinion) short-sighted decisions regarding the affected shorts on the PP101 set. Unless copyright law gets changed to enable more of them to fall into the public domain, Warner's has far more time and resources that any of us can ever hope to have in regards to how these shorts are seen by the public and if they aren't going to fully restore them, the least they can do is not create new problems with the versions receiving official distribution.

would like more elaboration on this. was something for Terrytoons ever discussed at one point?

I'm a little late again, but here is what was shown on Jerry's Cartoon Corner section of the broadcast:

The Wolf at the Door (Columbia, 1932)

Boogie Woogie Sioux (Lantz, 1942)

Toys Will Be Toys (Famous, 1949)

In addition, the show open with a holiday themed theatrical cartoon montage and there were clips of holiday TV cartoons after the break. Also, there were the expected upcoming movie trailers, a tribute to Will Ryan, and some previews for the upcoming Puppetoons Movie 3 DVD/Blu-ray. I had the list written down for most of these, but I'm not sure if anyone would be interested on them.
