Normally I would give you guys two weeks notice but given that Christmas falls on the day where he normally does his Stu's Show program, he's doing Stu's Show two weeks in a row! Something that hasn't happened in over 2 and a half years, but here goes:

"What would the holiday season be without a visit from The King of All Things Cartoons? I'll tell you what it'd be - a gyp, that's what it would be! That's why Jerry is indeed back for his annual Christmas visit, and we'll celebrate by hearing his reviews for "Frozen 2" and "Spies in Disguise", plus his thoughts on a few upcoming features including "Spongebob Squarepants: Sponge on the Run", and yes, even...lord help us..."Scoob!". We'll also discuss the latest in print media, streaming (with his opinions on Disney+), and home video. Plus...we'll screen three classic cartoons for your viewing pleasure!"

And of course e-mails will be taken (even though New Year's Eve phone calls will become the priority) but keep it brief and to the point. After all what happened with the recent Stu's Show program he did when technical difficulties occurred for the first 20 minutes and he had to start the show all over again at 4:20, I hope the show next week will go flawlessly.

Getting pretty tired of the usual "good things are happening that can't be talked about" okeydoke. Either releases are forthcoming or they aren't.

This just in and unfortunately there is bad news to report: Jerry Beck forgot that he had booked his appearance on Wednesday and made plans to leave from LAX to New York later that night (weather looks to be fine from what I know). So if you were planning to e-mail, I'm sorry to say that it won't happen live on the air (if anything you'll get a forwarded response) as he'll have to leave close to 6:00 pm his time.

Stu will still give all of us the most complete show before Jerry has to head out, assuming if DaCast's broadcast servers behave properly and that there is no false start to have to do the show a second time. Now I really wished we could have called in, but there wouldn't have been time for that either.

Again, sorry to break the news to you but the show will go ahead as planned (unless anything dramatically changes between now and then) at 4 pm PT this Wednesday afternoon.

From how things are shaping up, it sounds like I can skip listening to this one this time.

I hope Jerry gives a status update on the Popeye blu-rays, good or bad. If the Warner Archive people are still going ahead, but at a slightly slower pace, that's great. If they've decided the sales figures don't justify going forward, I'd be disappointed, but I'd rather know that than not. I hope it comes up, even briefly.

Warner ought to release the 1950s Popeyes in one or two sets and focus more on its other animated properties (especially "Looney Tunes", with that franchise's 90th anniversary drawing nearer and nearer and all).

January's WAC releases are slowly being announced and none of them are classic animation. They're not even Hanna-Barbera shows.

Those "all good, all exciting" releases teased last year are not happening. Our hopes were gotten up for nothing.

Could it be that they're not ready enough for a January release? For all I care, they may not be ready until at least February.

I have no cause to be optimistic. These "great" new releases were far along enough to be teased for Comic-Con, but that came and went.

I fully expect the can to be kicked down the road again. "Things are happening that can't be talked about".

Is anyone gonna be doing the live updates? I want to hear what’s going on, but I’ve got some things to do.

And we are about to get underway with the program tonight on short notice - hopefully with the DaCast video version not dropping out like last time...

He's coming back on March 18, 2020 to make up the no e-mails situation so there you go.

Current films are now being reviewed, such as Frozen 2 and Spies in Disguise.

Now to upcoming film features, including Spongebob Squarepants: Sponge on the Run and Scoob! (which the last two are causing some concerns).

Stu says he doesn't go to movie theatres anymore, just like I haven't been to one in more than 8 years myself.

Print media is next, and the NYE promo is currently running during the commercial break (and will run again before the show is over).
