Hey Steve:

Does the print of the circa 1931 Texaco advertising cartoon have the original title card? Jerry's reference copy is listed on the disc as "Step On It" (the print itself lacks any opening titles), but the Film Daily review for that title describes a quite different cartoon from this. And are the Texaco references uncensored?

That's the one! Thanks for the link. I wasn't aware of that page before, nor had I ever heard of the title "Hurry Doctor".

How many Popeye shorts are included on this bonus disc?

The BD-R of the Betty Boop and Popeye special set came in the mail yesterday. I am happy to see there are no duplications of Betty Boop cartoons compared to the Olive BDs. But the Popeye cartoons "Plumbing is a Pipe" and "Little Swee Pea" -- and, I expect, others I haven't watched yet -- are so dark and glaring that, in spite of the superior resolution, the versions in the Warner Brothers DVD set show much better detail and texture, and are more enjoyable viewing. I'm afraid this set is both a hit and a miss.

We're working on them... and trying to get all the 'special' discs that are finished out to everyone in the next week or so, finally. Progress is going well...

Once again, I ask, are there going to be any bonus features or even audio commentaries on this disc?
