Synopsis

Linus is getting ready for his yearly trip to the pumpkin patch to greet the Great Pumpkin. He talks Sally into waiting with him, but their paths are crossed with Snoopy, imagining himself as a World War One fighter pilot trying to find his way home.

Cut Scenes

During 1980s and 1990s CBS airings, the trick-or-treat sequence was trimmed down.
2 scenes were cut in early ABC airings and were later restored for later and recent airings on the network.
The Coca Cola and Dolly Madison sponsers were cut out of the opening credits in later airings and home video releases.
Recent ABC half-hour airings of the show have Charlie Brown trying to kick the football from Lucy and Snoopy moving to the Schroeder's music was cut altohugh it's present in the 1-hour airings with You're Not Elected, Charlie Brown (the latter special which features cuts).

Inside Jokes

Look closely at the TV Guide Lucy is reading while Linus sets off to ail his letter to The Great Pumpkin, and you can see Lucy herself on the front of the cover!
