Turner Classic Movies was set to have the movie broadcast on the first day of this February between the Central times of 1:15 a.m. and 2:45 a.m. (I suggest making and saving very good copies of it due to its rarity).

I had just learned about the Brooklyn Academy of Music having plans for a screening of the movie and a session of questions and answers with one of its directors (John Korty) this February.

You may learn more their plans at the following addresses:

Looks like this film is starting to gain more exposure ever since that Cinefamily screening (and the accompanying Q&A session)!

And I see they'll also be screening the Academy-Award-winning "Who Are the DeBolts?", originally bankrolled by none other than Sanrio. Sanrio has actually released the film on Blu-ray in Japan! (Now if maybe Discotek could pick it (and "The Mouse and His Child" and "Nutcracker Fantasy") up so that the film could gain such a release here in America...there was a DVD release a while back, and it's available for streaming on Amazon.)

By the way, are you planning to stay up through the night to watch this film?

The official weblog for Turner Classic Movies has a new article about "Twice Upon a Time" and one of its directors (I had corrected my reference to one of the directors in my message about the Brooklyn Academy of Music's plan to have a session of questions and answers with him next February since he was not the only director for the movie (the other one was named Charles Swenson)).

The version of the movie broadcast by Turner Classic Movies today was very similar to the version that was only available to customers of Comcast's video-on-demand services back in the years 2011 and 2012, except that each of its sides appeared to have been cropped and its opening and closing sequences appeared to have been distorted vertically (you may still access Turner Classic Movies' version of it through the video-on-demand service on their official World Wide Web site or through a cable TV system's video-on-demand service).

By the way, the movie was rated "TV-14" for its broadcast today and "TV-PG" for Turner Classic Movies' video-on-demand service and other video-on-demand services to have on display when used to access it.

Just got through watching almost 2/3 of the movie through the video-on-demand service. I want to thank you again for noting that, Mario!

By the way, Brendan, what exactly was deleted from the VHS? I get the feeling that the VOD version is that cut, and I want to make sure.

Finished the movie on the VOD service. The deleted scenes are indeed intact!

A very fun and unique movie. It really deserves a Blu-ray!

According to the official Twitter account for the Warner Archive, there is a plan to release two versions of "Twice Upon a Time" onto official standard-definition digital versatile discs (DVDs) this spring.

Wow!

It's about time! Too bad there's no Blu-ray, though.

If you people want "Twice Upon a Time" & other non-disney animated movies to be on blu-ray, you are welcome to enter this thread!:

"Animated TV Programs & Non-Disney Animated Movies We Want On Blu-ray"

I say that "Twice Upon a Time" deserves to be on blu-ray (in addition to dvd)!

So to the people at the Warner Archive:
I hope you will accept our demands.

I like the HBO cut more than the Korty approved version, It gives the film more flavor

I wish that TCM would show the film at a time when most people would still be up. Is putting the film at late-night times one of the conditions TCM has to fulfill in order to show it?
