I have created this thread at the old IAD forums in June 10, 2013:
http://www.intanibase.co...m/index.php?topic=1454.0 ,
But sadly, no replies from other people are posted there.
So I start over, & made a new version of this thread at the new IAD forums,
so you are welcome to post replies in here!

In 2013, I have created my 2 threads in the "Wish Lists" section of the Blu-ray Forum at Blu-ray.com.

I have named them...

"Non-Disney Animated Movies We Want On Blu-ray"
(the animated movies that are NOT disney movies)

http://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=220187

&

"Animated TV Programs We Want On Blu-ray"
http://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=221058

You can talk about these subjects & make your own wishlists as much as you loved
at the blu-ray.com forums & the IAD forums!

The Non-Disney animated movies I want Universal to release are all 3 of the Amblimation films made by Steven Spielberg:
  • An American Tail: Fievel Goes West (1991)

  • We're Back A Dinosaur's Story (1993)

  • Balto (1995)

We're Back A Dinosaur's Story was the only film that was released on DVD in its original widescreen aspect ratio in 2009, while both Fievel Goes West and Balto are only available in pan-and-scan/fullscreen (all they are doing is selling the same DVD in stores).

These I like to see on blue ray

Mr.Bug Goes to Town (1941)

John Korty's Twice Upon A Time (1983) Warner Brothers has the copyrights (George Lucas funded the film and has short scenes of his star wars films on the character Ibor the TV robot not only that but also scenes from Jim Henson's The Muppet Show.

Richard Williams' The Thief and The Cobbler 1992 workprint (before the Completion Bond Company took it and messed it up) The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences now has a dupe of the workprint from Richard Williams' personal collection

These have already been released on DVD (twice!) so I'm assuming you mean a PROPER DVD release, with all of the cartoons with "Charlie" having their original audio, and all of the cartoons having their complete opening and closing titles. (Like they were when I watched them on WGN circa 1980.)

Excuse me, Bobby Bickert,
the name of this thread is "Animated TV Programs & Non-Disney Animated Movies We Want On Blu-Ray",
so can you say "a proper blu-ray/dvd release"?

It's not Blu-ray, but Cat's Don't Dance is getting a widescreen DVD release through the Warner Archive. I got this news just yesterday in an e-mail from the Warner Archive.

Cool to see Warner Archive finally releasing the original widescreen version of "Cats Don't Dance" on DVD finally. After all those years when Warner lacked on re-releasing the film on home video.

Back in the day, the only way to see it in widescreen was on the now sawed after laserdisc release, until now.

bumping this topic back for some more titles

Paramount and Hanna Barbera's Charlotte's Web (1973) and Heidi's Song (1982)

although Paramount distributed and coproduced Heidi's Song, it was independently owned by the films creators Bill Hanna and Joe Barbera
previous home video releases were by WorldVision Entertainment, and Turner Entertainment.

Heidi's Song (1982) is on DVD from the Warner Archive Collection.

Valhalla (1986)
This is a animated feature from Denmark. Based on a comic book series Valhalla,
Both the comic books and the feature film were produced by the comic books' creator Peter Madsen.
noteworthy animators who worked on this include: Jeffey J. Varab, Hans Perk, and Borge Ring.
Valhalla (1986) never had been available in the USA..

It's about time, these films needed widescreen Blu Ray releases since the previous DVD releases prior to the 2010's DVD and Blu Ray releases were only available in pan-and-scan fullscreen.
