another reason: as mentioned by Jerry that Yankee Doodle Daffy is not in the DVDs. it's a Daffy Duck cartoon. these dvds are 101 of black and white Porky Pig cartoons with color cartoons

edit: even though the short has porky.

Re: Porky the Wrestler

Thad claimed in an article somewhere that whatever was cut from the cartoon was snipped from prints as far back as the early 40s.

Jerry, however, did say Mark Kausler supposably saw an uncut print from Clampett's personal collection years ago.

Seymour Kneitel was a chain-smoker, one of the many factors that contributed to his demise.

New Year's Eve too possibly as the 11th season has come to a close! Without the VIP support, internet television would not have been done.

Er.... I apologize for that question about "Mouse Cleaning. It was just an idea I was throwing out. I never said it was a good idea.

I will buy the factory-pressed release on Warner Shop instead.

Does this mean that the early 40's cartoons with the incorrect opening theme (which use the 1937 Fat Porky theme taken from "Porky's Railroad") will be present on the interpositive prints? I hope not.

Good episode all around. Nice tribute to June Foray, a couple rare cartoons shown, and the first good home video news in quite a while.

And I didn't mind Stu briefly getting political, but that's largely because I agree with his views.

For those that want to know what cartoons Jerry showed on the broadcast, they were:

"Hag Bag" (A "Super 6" cartoon, DFE)

"In the Nicotine" (Paramount)

A third cartoon, the very politically incorrect Terrytoon, "Mississippi Swing" was supposed to be shown, but due to the recent events, Stu decided not to show it.

To clarify, what I recall being said is the element they pulled for this cartoon had a physical splice at the location of the cut, as if this is the very element that was edited and used to make future prints, suggesting the missing footage may be intact on the original negative.

Here's the official rant on not showing a third cartoon (warning: contains language not suitable for all audiences):

am i understanding it right that the film prints no longer exist and that that's why they're not in HD, or have they not gotten around to doing them in HD? and is that still in the works or will this stay SD only?

It's not that the original negatives don't exist—they absolutely do—it's that WB doesn't want to spend the money to restore the cartoons properly. On top of that, interpositives aren't as high in quality as negatives to begin with. Hence, no HD release.

Since 2003 they've been doing HD scans, so there's no reason why these wouldn't be.

I have a feeling interpositives were used also in the later DVD sets because how dark they look like, but at the same time completely clean from dirt and scratches.

so they're just going to let them rot, great. i hope they at least did HD scans for the future.
