This is from the website - boy I wish we could call in again, but we'll have to wait until New Year's Eve as Jerry Beck will be on via phone or Skype if the Skype can work. Anyway, speaking of him on 12/21 (this week's show) from the website...

"It's the final live Wednesday broadcast for 2016, and what better to celebrate it than with the annual
holiday visit from The King of All Things Cartoons? Jerry will have his latest animation movie reviews,
including "Moana" and the new documentary on the legendary Floyd Norman. We'll also talk about
Brazil releasing a new Woody Woodpecker CGI film (Pica Pau!), favorite and new animated TV
specials (like the Mickey Mouse one on the Disney Channel), plus the latest in print media, streaming,
what's left in the world of home video, and oh yeah...your e-mails!"

http://stusshow.com/

Speaking of New Year's Eve this year it is going to be on television in the Fresno area, on UStream and also on the Roku device as it will be Flying Home/Stu's Show New Year's Eve Telebration on Saturday, December 31 starting at 7 pm Pacific Time (also on the website). Hope you all tune in (some or all) and win prizes on the way. Jerry will be on at some point during the night.

Please don't forget to become a VIP Listener (Stu really would like more of them) - details in this link below:

By the way, there is a chance that tomorrow after the show Stu may do a video on UStream where your questions may be asked on Facebook and/or via e-mail for 15-20 minutes (which is on the website and on UStream itself). Jerry will make that decision on the show. Hope we can get up to 50 of you guys...

Speaking of e-mails - get your questions ready and be sure to keep it brief and to the point. Please don't ask what is coming out...

He's going to be on New Year's Eve at around 11 pm Pacific Time on television - either on Skype or via phone (only disadvantage about the phone is that you won't be able to see him).

About 20-25 minutes worth of video streaming after the show. Keep in mind only 50 streams are allowed on a free UStream channel so you may be out of luck if you don't get in. The UStream feed is embedded on the website:

By the way phone calls will be taken on the video feed but just a warning if you call in do not ask when something is coming out because it will have already been discussed or he has nothing to say about it.

Got through tonight as a first time Wednesday caller to ask about whether if foreign actors have to be hired or if that is a country by country basis (in subject to Woody Woodpecker CGI).

I was actually thinking about suggesting them to do one myself, but have it done in the fashion of classic Looney Tunes and Tex Avery cartoons on the humor. The animation would be fateful to the original designs of the characters.

The 168 minute audio version is available on the archives for download if you want to listen to it again, while the 64 minute video version is on the Stu's Show UStream page and on YouTube. Speaking of New Year's Eve and Jerry being on at around 11 pm Pacific Time that night on December 31, here is the Facebook description for the event (you're not confined to just that time period, try to tune in to all of the show win hourly prizes and the grand prize - a lot of prizes are animation related, including Thunderbean Blu-ray DVDs):

"Please join us LIVE for our annual New Year's Eve bash...this year via TELEVISION! We'll be seen over the air on channel 43.5 in Fresno, California, and via UStream on the Internet! You can catch us via a live video feed right on the stusshow.com web site (a promo for the event is there now). We'll also have a link on the show's Facebook page. You can download the free UStream app for your cell phone or tablet and watch us there (install it and do a search for Cocola Broadcasting). Or, if you have a Roku device, you can watch us on your regular TV set. Confirmed celebrities joining us will be JIMMY GARRETT ("The Lucy Show"), BEVERLY WASHBURN ("Old Yeller"/"Star Trek"/"Leave it to Beaver"/"The Jack Benny Program"), animation author/historian JERRY BECK, comedy writer/blogger MARK EVANIER, JEANNIE RUSSELL (Margaret on "Dennis the Menace"), and TV critic STEVE BEVERLY. We'll be doing what we usually do on these shows - giving away prizes for correctly-answered trivia questions, ringing in the new year for each of the country's time zones, taking your phone calls, and screening some rare classic TV programs with New Year's premises. Please plan to join Jeanine, myself, and Fresno personality Ronnie Paul for all or at least some of the six hour fun fest starting at 7 pm PT/10 pm ET."

Here are the links for the Fresno feed (the main page is embedded):

Despite what Jerry said about studios not renting out film prints of cartoons, WB indeed did that at least twice in 2016, sending Looney Tunes on 35mm to the Roxie Theater in San Francisco. (I posted the notices here under the subject, "San Francisco events." The Roxie says more of these programs to come in 2017.)
thanks 1 user thanked Ratso for this useful post.
