NOTE: This was originally a thread for just Mike Barrier's interviews with Jaxon, but as more interviews are coming, I thought it would be prudent to make them all part of one thread.

Earlier today, Mike Barrier posted his 1973 interview with Wilfred Jackson, the great Disney director who was at the studio since the final days of Disney's Oswald cartoons, and would remain there for the studio's golden age. Like all of Barrier's interviews with Disney's personnel, it's a fascinating look at the old studio's life; what makes this one especially noteworthy is that Bob Clampett (in addition to Milt Gray) assisted in the interviewing:

There's also some great pictures, most notably those of Jackson with Marjorie Belcher in reference footage for "Snow White" and Jackson posing as Chernabog for "Fantasia".

On another note, does anyone else find it sad that these interviews usually don't get the attention they deserve? It seems like only the more prominent animation people (and experts) are interested in them.

Mr. Barrier has posted his first interview (from 1973) with Jack Kinney! (Take a look at Kinney's account of Fleischer/Famous writer Carl Meyer's brief stay at Disney, in particular...)

Not exactly related to Mike Barrier's interviews, but for those still keeping up...

Bossert has been kind enough to identify some animators for the cartoon in his latest CR post, including Tytla's scenes!

(Also, for what it's worth, I tried asking Hans Perk if he had the draft for the cartoon at the time the Kinney interview was posted. He didn't.)

No collectors I know of have any Goofy drafts outside of Hockey Homicide.
