3 days ago when I wanted to check on Anime News Network, and I noticed the site is down and hasn't been working since. And it's still down for some reason. I checked on the Isn't It Down Right Now? site, and it keeps saying it's down. Even when I was using a different internet browser Firefox, same problem.

Can anyone tell me why it's down?

This could be the explanation. Long story short, the original domain was hacked and they moved to a new one.

I've heard rumors over the Twitter grapevine (specifically a friend of mine who's a close friend with someone who has ties with the more prominent anime/industry circles) that ANN was simply incompetent enough to let their domain expire, and in turn someone bought it away before they did. Hence the "hacking".
