As you may know, Chuck Berry passed away yesterday. For a short amount of time I was somewhat close (but not related to) a cousin of Chuck's. She was happy when I played her the "School Days" track of the CD album "The Simpsons Sing the Blues", I remember her humming along the tune since it was so familiar to her.

A similar memory as it was nighttime at Cedar Point (I'm talking to you, Justin Delbert) and the PA played the original "School Days" song at some random visit.

I also know a handful of his other golden era hits thanks to Pandora.

Anyway, he will be missed.

Here is my little tribute:

By far his biggest was "My Ding a Ling", and also wrote "Memphis" which Johnny Rivers started having hits with in 1964.RIP

I saw the "Marvin Berry" scene from BttF was spoofed in Family Guy's "Meet the Quagmries". Chuck was also given a mention in the pilot for Goof Troop.

Those said, "Run, Rudolph, Run" is my favorite of his songs.
